Shabbytiger was born simply out of a love of hats, colour, textiles and having children.

Our first collection was put together in summer 2009. We sold bandanas and sunhats purely through friends and home sales and it was a resounding, sell-out success. That was our market research. 

We are now taking a bit of time to research and establish our manufacturing base and will be launching the Shabbytiger range as a brand in 2010. Our first collection was snapped up by various children's retail stores around the UK and now we are ready to market ourselves more widely. We are sure that many wonderful boutiques worldwide will very soon be stocking our hats and bandanas.

We always felt that there was an abundance of beautiful clothes but no colourful and vibrant hats & headgear for children. Our aim now is to provide beautiful hats and headbands for gorgeous children. We love using unusual fabrics that you wouldn’t normally find in children’s hats. Fabrics such as velvet, corduroy, silk cotton with intricate flower crochet and exotic trim and beading. We love sourcing unusual prints and putting them together with a handmade fabric flower or a soft fur trim.

At the moment Shabbytiger is exclusively a girls collection. In celebration of girls and fashion in all its fun and femininity.
